Welcome to Sicher Rides. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our ride-hailing and parcel delivery services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, booking a ride, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

Sicher Rides provides:

• Ride-hailing services connecting passengers with drivers
• Parcel delivery services for goods and documents
• Related transportation and logistics services

We operate primarily in Gulu City, Northern Uganda, and may expand to other areas at our discretion.

3. User Accounts

To use our services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Ride-Hailing Services

4.1 Booking and Cancellation

• Rides can be booked through our platform or by phone
• Cancellation fees may apply if you cancel after a driver has been assigned
• We reserve the right to cancel rides due to safety concerns or other valid reasons

4.2 Payment

• Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and applicable fees
• Payment can be made via cash, mobile money, or other accepted methods
• All prices are in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) unless otherwise stated
• Fares are subject to change without prior notice

4.3 Passenger Responsibilities

• Treat drivers and vehicles with respect
• Provide accurate pickup and destination information
• Be ready at the designated pickup location
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not engage in illegal activities during rides

5. Parcel Delivery Services

• We deliver parcels within our service areas
• Prohibited items include illegal substances, weapons, and hazardous materials
• Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed
• You are responsible for accurate recipient information
• We are not liable for damage to improperly packaged items

6. Driver Partners

Drivers using our platform must:

• Possess valid driver's license and vehicle registration
• Maintain valid insurance coverage
• Pass background checks and vehicle inspections
• Comply with all traffic laws and regulations
• Provide safe and professional service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate driver accounts for violations of these Terms or safety concerns.

7. Safety and Liability

7.1 Safety

Your safety is our priority. However, we are not responsible for:

• Accidents or incidents beyond our reasonable control
• Loss or damage to personal belongings left in vehicles
• Actions of third parties

7.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sicher Rides shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use our services for illegal purposes
• Harass, abuse, or harm drivers or other users
• Interfere with the operation of our platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

9. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on our platform are owned by Sicher Rides or our licensors. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our prior written permission.

10. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through our platform. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, safety concerns, or other valid reasons. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sicher Rides regarding your use of our services.
